The Kerala Cabinet has approved the creation of 1,857 additional teaching posts in government and aided schools across the state.
The decision was taken after accepting the recommendation submitted by the Director of General Education based on staff fixation for the academic year 2025-26.
Of the total number of seats, 655 will be created in government schools while 1,202 seats will be sanctioned in aided schools. Newly created posts will take effect retroactively from October 1, 2025.
