A man has shared a grateful account on social media of how the app’s Blinkit emergency service was a “life saver” for his friend’s family. The user, who goes by the name Harpreet, described how an ambulance arrived in four minutes and the patient was taken to hospital within 20 minutes. He further applauded the crew for their “excellent” service.
“Dear Blinkite, your ambulance service is truly a lifesaver. Just this morning a classmate of mine called for an ambulance in Gurgaon. It arrived in 4 minutes and his mother was in the hospital emergency room within 20 minutes,” wrote Harpreet.
“The paramedics and driver were top notch and took excellent care of the patient,” the post continued.
The family service was free
The user added that after completing hospital formalities and stabilizing the patient, the family went outside to thank the ambulance crew.
“After completing the formalities at the emergency room and stabilizing the patient, her son came out to thank the ambulance staff only to find that they had already left. Two minutes later he was given a life sentence by his wife for not giving them any token of thanks, especially since the ambulance service did not charge anything,” he wrote.
Harpreet said the family initially assumed the fees had already been paid while booking the ambulance through the app.
He ended his post with an offer for the company. “On that note, you might consider adding an option to the app for token payment and maybe a rating system for your emergency crews when they’re done. They really are lifesavers.”
