
Revenue and Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy reiterated that one million Indiramma houses would be completed across the state by the end of this month. In the second phase of the flagship housing programme, the state government will start another round of Indiramma houses in April, the minister said, adding that all eligible poor people would be provided Indiramma houses in a phased manner across the state.
He was speaking after laying foundation stones for various road works at Kamepalli mandal in Khammam district on Friday.
Mr. Reddy accused the BRS rulers of failing to fulfill their promise to provide two-bedroom houses to the homeless poor during their two terms as the state chief.
The Congress government approved 4.5 million houses in Indiramma in the very first year after coming to power, he said.
Yellandu MLA Koram Kanakaiah and others accompanied the minister.
