The Telangana High Court on Friday directed inspectors of Bachupally, Dundigal and Jagadgirigutta police stations of Cyberabad commissionerate to submit a report explaining who laid the road after APR Pranav Antilia broke the wall in Bachupally.
Hearing a writ petition filed by APR Pranav Antilia Welfare Association challenging the demolition of the fortification wall by HYDRAA and seeking restoration of the demolished fortification wall, Justice NV Shravan Kumar of the HC directed the authorities that the newly laid road should not be opened to public or commuters. The judge ordered the registry to reschedule the case for hearing on April 7.
Counsel for the Association informed the bench that two writ petitions had already been filed in the HC in 2025 after the Antilia compound wall was partially demolished. The HC then directed the authorities to maintain the status quo in the matter. The petitioner alleged that the HYDRAA authorities had on March 5 issued a notice to the association to demolish the enclosure wall but failed to specify the HC order issued in 2025 to maintain the status quo in the matter.
The petitioner’s counsel told the bench that the HYDRAA authorities laid the road after they “unlawfully pulled down the compound wall” in the presence of three inspectors who were accompanied by police personnel. The judge ordered the authorities to maintain the status quo in the matter for four weeks.
