Monsoon tracker update: Monthly average rainfall over India expected to be below normal in July, says IMD

Himachal Pradesh received 63.8 mm of rain against the normal of 95.4 mm from June 1 to 29, a deficit of 33%, officials said.

According to Shimla Meteorological Office data, 11 out of 12 districts in the state had rainfall deficit in June, except Kinnaur which received 7% surplus rainfall.

The rain deficit was 54% in Sirmaur, 53% in Lahaul-Spiti, 45% in Kullu, 41% in Mandi, 35% in Kangra, 33% in Bilaspur, 28% each in Chamba and Una, 27% in Hamirpur, 17% in Solan and 6% in Shim.
