Richa Ghosh reunited with Smriti Mandhana after being selected by Manchester Super Giants Women in The Hundred Women’s Auction on Wednesday 11 March. The goalscorer was signed for £50,000 after the Manchester-based franchise opened the bidding and faced no competition from rival teams.
Ghosh recently played a key role in helping Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women win the Women’s Premier League title, where she also shared the dressing room with Mandhana. Their reunion adds further strength to Manchester’s batting line-up ahead of The Hundred season ahead.

Mandhana had earlier joined the franchise as a direct signing in January and will now be part of a star-studded team that includes Aussie legend Meg Lanning and England left-armer Sophie Ecclestone.
DEEPTI JOINS SUNRISER
Deepti Sharma has joined Sunrisers Leeds after being picked in the auction for £27,500. The franchise opened the bidding and eventually secured the Indian all-rounder after no rival teams stepped in with a competitive bid.
Having previously played a key role for London Spirit Women, Deepti brings valuable experience and match-winning ability to the Leeds-based side. The Indian star has also enjoyed strong form in global tournaments and franchise leagues, making him a valuable addition to the squad ahead of the upcoming season of The Hundred.
Among the other Indian women, Jemimah Rodrigues will play for the Southern Brave Women after joining them on a £60,000 outright deal. It will be her second franchise in the tournament after earlier stints with Sunrisers Leeds Women.
In 19 matches in The Hundred, the right-hander scored 453 runs, including four half-centuries, with a top score of 92 not out.
YASTIKA, CHARANI ARE NOT SOLD
While Richa and Deepti secured squads in the auction, several Indian players remained unsold. Among them was Yastika Bhatia, who entered the auction with a base price of £15,000 but failed to attract any bids from franchises.
Left-arm spinner N Shree Charani also went unsold after listing at a base price of £27,500, with no teams showing interest during the bidding process.
