
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday predicted isolated rainfall, snowfall and thunderstorms in several states across India. It also predicted scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall or snowfall over Jammu and Kashmir from March 10 to 12, which is expected to moderate to isolated light rainfall between March 13 and 16.
Snowfall and Thunderstorm in J&K, Himachal till March 16
Scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rain or snowfall is expected over Jammu and Kashmir from March 10 to 12, reducing to isolated light rain or snowfall between March 13 to 16.
Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are also likely to see isolated to scattered light rain or snowfall during 10-16. march
Thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds of 30-50 kmph are expected over Jammu and Kashmir on 10-11. March and over Himachal Pradesh on 11–12 March and 14-16 Isolated light rain is also forecast for Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh from March 14 to 16; Western Uttar Pradesh 15–16 March; western Rajasthan on March 14; and East Rajasthan on 14-15 march
In isolated places of Himachal Pradesh on 11.-12. expect hailstorms in March. In addition, it is likely that in isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir on 10-11 March, in Arunachal Pradesh on 12-13 March and Assam and Meghalaya are likely to experience heavy rainfall or snowfall on March 14.
Rainfall with thundershowers in Punjab, Bengal and Sikkim till March 16
The IMD predicts that isolated to scattered light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thundershowers, lightning and gusty winds of 30-50 kmph are likely over several parts of India.
These include Punjab from March 14-16, Odisha from March 10-11, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh from March 13-14, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim from March 10-13, Gangetic West Bengal and Jharkhand from March 10-12 and Bihar from March 15-11
Thunderstorms and lightning are also expected over Rajasthan on March 14, while Kerala, Mahé and Lakshadweep may experience rain on March 10. Overall, East India is likely to experience similar weather conditions during 10-16. March, according to the IMD.
Heat wave warning
Heat wave to severe heat wave is expected in Gujarat on March 11. Heatwave may also occur in isolated areas of West Rajasthan and Vidarbha, North Konkan on March 11 and Gujarat on March 12.
Additionally, hot and humid conditions are likely over isolated coastal areas of Gujarat from March 11 to 13.

The IMD has forecast partly cloudy skies over Delhi today with maximum temperatures ranging between 35°C and 37°C and minimum temperatures between 17°C and 19°C. The minimum temperature is expected to be 3.1 °C to 5.0 °C above normal in most places and over 5 °C above normal in some places, while the maximum temperature will be well above normal (5 °C and above) in most areas.
