The Hutti police have arrested three children in violation of the law in connection with the murder of a minor boy in Lingsugur taluk of Raichur district.
According to the FIR, there was a wedding in the deceased boy’s village on Sunday and after eating there, he told his father that he was going to Lingsugur on a motorbike with three of his friends.
Later, when the boy did not return home that night, the deceased boy’s father asked his friends who had taken him to Lingsugur about it and they told him that they had nothing to do with it, the FIR said.
Thereafter, the deceased boy’s father filed a complaint stating that three friends had beaten up his son for some reason, murdered him somewhere and then, intending to destroy the evidence, dumped the body near a lake in Lingsugur taluk, the FIR said.
The police registered the case according to § 103 paragraph 1 and 238 r/w 3 paragraph 5 BNS 2023. The investigation continues.
