Mitchell Starc has paid a special tribute to his wife Alyssa Healy following her retirement from international cricket. Healy played her last match for Australia in the Day-Night Test against India at the WACA in Perth, where the home team won by 10 wickets to mount the multi-format series 12-8.
Before the start of India’s tour of Australia, Healy announced that he would skip the T20Is and would only feature in the ODI series and the one-off Test. As a tribute on social media, Starc shared a picture in which he can be seen celebrating by pouring a drink over Healy’s head as she enjoys the moment.

HOW THE OLD MAN HAS A HEALTHY INFLAMMATION
Starc has been one of the biggest pillars of support in Healy’s career and has often tried to be present during key moments of her journey in international and franchise cricket. The couple, who married in 2016 after knowing each other since childhood, have balanced their busy schedules while consistently supporting each other’s ambitions.
Starc has repeatedly shown his preference for Healy’s presence during important matches. In 2020, he returned early from Australia’s tour of South Africa to watch her play in the Women’s T20 World Cup final in Melbourne, a gesture that underlined his commitment to supporting her career.
A memorable moment came during the Women’s ODI series between India and Australia in Hobart. Starc was on hand to watch Healy in action and even appeared in the commentary box during the match. When Healy scored a brilliant century in his farewell ODI appearance, cameras caught Starc clapping enthusiastically from the comments area, clearly proud of her milestone.
While Healy has bid adieu to international cricket, Starc is set to play in the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) where he will play for Delhi Capitals (DC), who have kept pace for Rs 11.75 crore.
