The Federal Aviation Administration briefly grounded all JetBlue flights early Tuesday morning at the airline’s request, the agency said in a notice posted on its website.
It was not immediately clear why JetBlue requested the ground stop, which was lifted about 40 minutes after it was put in place.
The airline and the FAA did not immediately respond to emails from The Associated Press seeking more information.
Founded more than 25 years ago, the airline is headquartered in New York and has its flagship terminal at the city’s John F. Kennedy International Airport.
