The pre-wedding festivities begin on March 13 and Haldi and Mehndi ceremonies bring close family and friends together in the hills of Uttarakhand. The wedding itself will be an intimate affair with only close family members attending at the Mussoorie resort.
The wedding was originally planned for November 2025 but was postponed after Kuldeep won selection in India’s T20 World Cup squad. It turns out the wait was worth it. India won their third T20 World Cup title by defeating New Zealand in a one-sided contest in Ahmedabad, they successfully defended the title they had previously won.
Kuldeep played his part in the campaign where he featured high clash against pakistan, where he returned figures of 1/14 in three overs to help India gain control at a critical juncture in the contest.
The performance was a reminder of how valuable Kuldeep is to this Indian side. With 365 wickets across all three formats, he remains one of the most trusted and dangerous bowlers in the country, equally effective in Tests, ODIs and T20Is. For a cricketer of his stature, postponing his wedding for another World Cup winner’s medal was a small price to pay.
In a warm gesture ahead of the big day, Kuldeep’s father Ram Singh Yadav visited Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on March 8 to hand over the wedding invitation in person.
In Mussoorie, the celebrations don’t end. A grand reception is planned for March 17 at Hotel Centrum in Lucknow, where dignitaries from the Board of Control for Cricket in India, the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association and guests from across the country are expected to attend.
It will be a fitting celebration for one of India’s greatest match-winners as he begins a new chapter in life.
