The Telangana High Court on Monday dismissed an appeal filed by Karimnagar-based Sri Srinivasa Constructions against a single judge’s order rejecting its writ petition to quash road laying tenders.
A bench of Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh and Justice GM Mohiuddin upheld the decision of the single judge passed in the writ petition filed by the appellant earlier. The appellant had earlier moved the HC to stay the fresh tenders floated by the government for widening the single-lane road to two-lane from Arnakonda village of Choppadandi mandal to Malyal junction.
Another road was to be widened from Vemulawada to Sirikonda in Rajanna Siricilla district. The single judge rejected the proposal, stating that the petitioner did not explain how the evaluation of the contract work and the reduction of the completion time of the work affected the petitioner and put him in a disadvantageous position.
The divisional bench confirmed the decision of the single judge.
