“It’s extremely special because I’ve played one final at my home venue and I couldn’t win it, but this one is really special. I was really motivated and I was clear about what I wanted to do. The wicket was quite flat and because I’ve played all my cricket here I used all my experience. Today was a wonderful day where everything I did went really exactly as I said. So yes, I’m very grateful. The player was really happy and I’m grateful to him. Reward for a match.

That’s exactly what I tried to do in this tournament. my own game was always one of my strengths,” he added.
“I can’t be happier. It can’t be more special than this — winning Man of the Match in the World Cup final at this place where I started cricket. It really doesn’t get better than this,” Bumrah concluded.
