Six persons were booked after 78 bottles of liquor originating from Delhi and Goa were seized during a special excise drive near Pahadishareef near RGI Airport on March 8.
The bottles were discovered during vehicle searches conducted by Special Task Force-B Team, STF Meerpet unit under SHO Maheshwaram and DTF Saroornagar excise wing personnel. Officials said the seized liquor bottles were identified as bottles meant for sale in Delhi and Goa and were being transported in violation of excise regulations.
A criminal complaint was registered against six persons and the seized liquor bottles were handed over to Meerpet consumption station for further action.
