Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) President Mayawati on Tuesday (June 30, 2026) said the allegations of embezzlement and misappropriation of victims from the Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya are extremely serious and worrisome, adding that such individuals should not be spared, but politicizing the issue is also wrong.

“Daily media reports of theft, misappropriation and misappropriation of victims from the Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya are extremely serious and disturbing. Such individuals should not be spared, but politicizing the issue is also not right,” she wrote on X.

Ms. Mayawati added, “Also to ensure that there are no more complaints regarding temple sacrifices, it would be advisable to follow the system introduced in Ayodhya for accounting for sacrifices etc. in other famous temples of the country and resolve this issue soon,”.

The BSP chief further warned the political parties that politicization of religion is not right in the interest of the country and people and it is also a challenge to countrymen.
