A two-day workshop on ‘Fundamentals and Applications of Quantum Materials’ organized by the Science Department of the Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing (IIITDM-Kurnool) concluded on Saturday (March 7).
The workshop brought together students, researchers and faculty members to explore the emerging field of quantum materials and their technological applications. The session focused on fundamental concepts as well as the latest advances in the study of quantum phenomena in materials.
On the second day, Dr. Koteswara Rao, invited speaker from the Indian Institute of Technology Tirupati, lectures on entanglement and coherence in quantum materials. His session provided attendees with a deeper understanding of the quantum mechanical principles that govern advanced materials and their potential applications in future technologies. Participants actively engaged in discussions and interactive learning activities, making the sessions highly productive and engaging.
At the final session, certificates were presented to all participants as recognition for successfully completing the workshop. Mr. Pavan Venu Prakash Madduri, Workshop Coordinator from the Department of Science expressed his gratitude to the resource persons, organizers and participants for their involvement and contribution to the success of the event.
The workshop served as a platform for knowledge exchange and encouraged young researchers to explore the rapidly developing domain of quantum materials.
