The Bhavanipuram police on Friday (March 6, 2026) registered a case against the staff of a day care center in Vijayawada’s Vidyadharapuram for allegedly causing burns to a girl.
A four-year-old girl who suffered burns on her private parts is fighting for her life in a private hospital. She is said to have informed her parents that the burns were caused by a teacher.
Based on the initiative of the girl’s mother, the police registered a case with the staff of the hospital and started an investigation.
“We dropped the girl at the center on February 23. At around 11:45 a.m., the janitor called us and asked us to bring more clothes for the child. When we reached the center, we found her undressed, with injuries under her chin and other private parts,” the girl’s mother said in the complaint. In the media on Friday, the girl’s parents urged the authorities to take tough action against the culprits.
