During the pre-match press conference ahead of the final, Santner said his side may not be favorites heading into the final, but they can do the little things and perform well. Santner said he doesn’t mind breaking a few hearts at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday if it means his team can lift their first World T20 title.
“Obviously it’s a challenge. Everyone knows we’re probably not favourites, but we don’t mind, we know we can, if we do our little things well and put in a strong team performance, you know, it puts us in a pretty good position to hopefully lift the trophy. But yeah, you could break your heart to lift the trophy for once,” Mitchell Santner told a press conference.
