PMK founder S Ramadoss’ personal secretary P. Swaminathun, who filed his nomination as a candidate for the biennial Rajya Sabha elections representing the party, was allegedly assaulted in Chennai on Friday. Mr Swaminathun said Anna Salai (Near TVS) was attacked by two men when he was returning home from the secretariat where nomination papers were being scrutinised.
He further stated that the attack resulted in facial injuries. Blaming PMK factional leaders for the attack, Mr. Swaminathun sought protection from the Director General of Police.
