More than 140 international flights were canceled at airports in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Kolkata on Friday (March 6, 2026) as the crisis in West Asia continues to affect air traffic.
Airlines have partially resumed operations and some are operating limited services to and from some destinations in the region.

Officials said at least 142 flights were canceled at all four airports, with 39 departures and 34 arrivals canceled at the Mumbai airport.
While a total of 33 flights, including 15 departures and 18 arrivals, were canceled at the Bangalore airport, 15 departures and 14 arrivals were canceled at the Delhi airport.
According to officials, a total of 7 flights — four departures and three arrivals — were canceled at the Kolkata airport.
Escalation of the US-Israel-Iran conflict has affected flight operations as some airspace in West Asia is closed.
Akasa Air said it will operate a Mumbai-Jeddah-Mumbai flight on Friday (March 6, 2026).
The airline will operate flights from Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Kochi to Jeddah on Saturday (March 7, 2026), it said in a post on X.
Earlier in the day, SpiceJet said it would operate 14 special flights from the UAE to bring back stranded passengers.
On Thursday (March 5, 2026), the Civil Aviation Ministry said it was continuing to closely monitor the developing situation in West Asia and that a total of 281 flights scheduled to be operated by Indian domestic carriers for the day had been cancelled.
