Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu reviews the progress of the Family Benefit Management System (FBMS) during a meeting with officials at his Assembly Hall in Amaravati on Wednesday.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu reviewed the progress of the Family Benefit Management System (FBMS) in his House on Wednesday (March 4) and directed officials to expedite the creation of a comprehensive family database covering 26 key attributes for every household in the state.
He directed officials to design a database with details like family ID, Aadhaar number, rice card ID, education, occupation, mobile number, address, agricultural land and details of urban and rural properties. The initiative aims to create a unified and validated data backbone to streamline welfare delivery and governance.
Mr. Chandrababu Naidu further directed that the data collected from various departments and agencies should be integrated into the system. These include AP State Response and Fire Services Department (SGSDW reference by state data systems), DISCOMs, Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department (MAUD), Webland, Vahan, HRMS, CBDT-linked records, Panchayati Raj and Markfed.
Officials informed the chief minister that nearly 82% of the required data had already been consolidated and expressed confidence that 90% of the database would be ready by April 30.
Emphasizing accuracy and efficiency, Mr. Chandrababu Naidu said that the integration of databases across all ministries would greatly enhance data reliability and eliminate duplication. He highlighted the government’s goal of issuing a family card to every household in the state and asked the officials to work in mission mode to achieve the goal.
FBMS is envisioned as a centralized digital platform that will ensure transparent, targeted and seamless delivery of welfare benefits to eligible families across Andhra Pradesh.
