
A pack of stray dogs attacked at least 15 people, including several early morning walkers, seriously injuring some of them in Vemulawada in Rajanna Sircilla district on Tuesday.
The incident sparked panic among local residents, prompting renewed demands for urgent steps to control the rampant menace of stray dogs in the temple town.
Cases of stray dog bites were reported from Pochammaveedhi, Market Road, Subashnagar and several other localities in the city on Tuesday morning.
The injured were taken to the government district hospital in the city where they were given rabies vaccines.
