Tension prevailed between advocates and the litigant after the Belagavi district court received a bomb threat email on Tuesday.
A team of city constables led by Deputy Commissioner of Police Narayan Baramani reached the spot.
The police team cleared all the courtrooms and bar chambers within minutes. The city canine unit was called to the scene. Sniffer dogs went around all the rooms.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police said court officials received the email in the morning and alerted the police.
However, it turned out to be a hoax. The investigation is ongoing.
