
The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Student Branch of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus has been honored with the 2025 Chapter Outstanding Activities Award by the Indian branch of ACM, the world’s leading professional organization for computing. The award was officially announced at a ceremony held at IIT Hyderabad. The recognition comes in recognition of the chapter’s technical excellence, diversity of initiatives and impressive student engagement. Flagship programs such as Evolumin, O-Labs, Epochon and Agentic AI Hackathon, along with summer school programs for school students and bridging courses for junior students, have played a key role in securing this national recognition. The student chapter functions under the leadership of office bearers Akhil Menon, B. Vasudev and Dr. Premy Nedungadi, Associate Dean, School of Computing.
