
Cultural Affairs Minister Saji Cherian will on Wednesday inaugurate the new premises at the Chithranjali Studio, which has been completed as part of the first phase of the state government’s studio redevelopment project. The new facility includes an air-conditioned shooting range, modern lighting units and a new administration building.
A ten-metre bronze statue of JC Daniel, known as the father of Malayalam cinema for making Vigathakumaran, the first feature film in the language, will also be unveiled. General Education Minister V. Sivankutty will preside over the function.
