APSCHE launches five-day workshop on MOOCs

The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) in collaboration with Acharya Nagarjuna University (ANU) on Monday (June 29, 2026) launched a five-day workshop at the university campus to help educational institutions in the state develop Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs).

According to an APSCHE press release, the workshop titled “Design, Develop, and Deliver MOOCs and the Associated Ecosystem” is designed to enable higher education institutions in Andhra Pradesh to design, develop and deliver such courses in line with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the Academic Bank of Credits and the world-leading school ANADC platform.

APSCHE Chairman K. Madhu Murthy, APSCHE Vice Chairman K. Ratna Shiela Mani, Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan State Project Director Narayana Bharath Gupta and others participated in the first day of the workshop.

As part of the workshop, experts from the National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration in New Delhi will provide hands-on training in instructional design, content creation, learning management systems, student engagement, assessment strategies and the internationally recognized six-quadrant framework for MOOC development.

According to the report, around 65 to 75 faculty members from universities, autonomous institutions, professional colleges and affiliated colleges from across the state are participating in the workshop.

APSCHE is also introducing Quantum Technologies as a multidisciplinary minor program to prepare students for future technologies.
