NIMHANS will host a three-day international conference on ‘Clinical Neuropsychology and Cognitive Neuroscience’ (I-CNCNC 2026) from March 5 in Bengaluru. The conference will be held on the topic “Brain Health: From Theory to Practice”.
This event, along with a one-day pre-conference workshop, aims to bring together mental health professionals, clinical psychologists, neuropsychologists, neuroscientists, researchers, engineers and students working in neurocognition and brain health.
Organizers said that clinical neuropsychology has emerged as a critical and evolving subspecialty within clinical psychology with increasing importance for assessment, diagnosis, rehabilitation, and interdisciplinary clinical practice. The conference seeks to strengthen conceptual and evidence-based approaches in clinical neuropsychology while situating them within current developments in cognitive neuroscience and related applied domains.
The program will blend academic considerations with skills-based workshops designed to bridge theory and clinical practice. According to the official version, the forum is intended to serve as a translational platform where advances in basic neuroscience are discussed in the context of patient care and rehabilitation.
Pre-conference and conference workshops cover a wide range of topics, including the application of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation, psychotherapies in neuropsychological rehabilitation, neuromusicology, brain-computer interface technology, and forensic neuropsychology.
Experts from India and abroad are expected to participate and present research findings and clinical findings related to brain health and cognitive function.
