
Successful implementation of the 99-day action plan and sensitization of the district collectors for the upcoming census will be major components of the collectors’ conference to be held here on Tuesday.
The day-long conference will include the planning and modalities that should be adopted for all important census exercises. Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao directed district collectors to do thorough groundwork to ensure accurate, transparent and time-bound enumeration. The Chief Secretary held a preparatory meeting with senior officials for the conference, which was addressed by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and was to be attended by all ministers.
The morning session of the conference would discuss the census and the officials concerned would be briefed about the steps to be taken for the 99-day Praja Palana – Pragati Pranalika action plan from March 6 in the afternoon session. The officials were briefed on the importance of the conference with special emphasis on priority development works, expedited land acquisition processes and timely felling of forests.
The Chief Secretary directed the departments to prepare detailed presentations outlining targets, schedules and monitoring mechanisms so that district administrations are clearly aligned with the state’s development plan. He highlighted the significance of Praja Palana – Pragati Pranalika by stating that the initiative envisages strengthening the reach of governance, accelerating development programs and ensuring effective service delivery at the local level.
District collectors would play a key role in coordinating activities under the 99-day action plan and ensuring tangible results.
