
Telangana Director General of Police (DGP) B. Shivadhar Reddy emphasized the need to spread cyber security awareness in a collaborative manner by using technology-based initiatives to effectively curb rising cyber crime.
He urged the district police to implement Hyderabad Police Commissioner’s Cyber Crime Prevention Initiative – ‘Cyber Simba’ to effectively prevent cyber crime.
The DGP was addressing a crime review meeting at the Police Training Center in Khammam on Sunday.
He highlighted the Telangana State Cyber Security Authority’s digital initiatives to prevent cybercrimes and assist in the investigation of cybercrime as part of a collaborative strategy to combat the growing menace of cybercrime. The DGP listed various initiatives of the state police to curb the drug menace and prevent road accidents.
Earlier, the DGP inaugurated the Police Welfare Sports Complex and new premises for police personnel at the Police Headquarters, Khammam.
Multi Zone-I Inspector General S. Chandrasekhar Reddy and Khammam Police Commissioner Sunil Dutt and several others were present.
