In view of the lunar eclipse on March 3, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) has announced temporary changes to its Lord Venkateswara temple darshan schedule.
Accordingly, free Slotted Sarva Darshan (SSD) tokens will not be issued at Tirupati on 1st and 2nd March for the darshan scheduled on 2nd and 3rd March.
However, the temple management clarified that the SSD tokens for the March 4 darshan will be released on March 3.
The Darshan VIP break also remains canceled on March 3. Consequently, no recommendation letters will be accepted for VIP darshan on March 2, TTD said.
The temple administration said the decision was taken in accordance with established religious practices observed during celestial events such as eclipses.
Devotees planning their pilgrimage have been advised to take note of the revised schedule and make necessary arrangements.
