The daughter, son-in-law and grandson of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei have been killed in rocket attacks by Israel, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC)-affiliated Fars News has confirmed. According to the latest development, the 86-year-old Iranian leader was killed in US-Israeli strikes, Reuters reported, citing Iranian state media.
Earlier in a post on Truth Social, US President Donald Trump confirmed that Iran’s supreme leader had been killed and said it was the “biggest chance” for the Iranian people to “take back” their country. Trump said the “heavy and precise bombing” would continue for a week or as long as necessary.
As the exchange of deadly missiles between Iran and Israel continues, attention has shifted to the Khamenei family following reports of the deaths of several family members of Iran’s supreme leader. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s wife, children and grandchildren are in the spotlight after the United States and Israel launched strikes on Tehran.
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s wife Mansoureh Khojasteh Bagherzadeh is the daughter of Mashhad businessman Mohammad Esmaeil Khojasteh Bagherzadeh. The two have six children, including three daughters, and many grandchildren. Hoda, Meysam and Bushra are the three publicly known daughters of the Iranian leader, including one grandson, identified as Mohammad Bagher Khamenei.
While there are limited public details of his family’s whereabouts, some reports suggest that most of his immediate family members live in Iran, while some relatives, including nephews and grandsons, live overseas in Paris. Details about his family life remain mostly private.
