Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy directed officials to keep the land earlier allotted to Sharada Peetham in Kokapet with the Peetham and cancel its subsequent allotment to the Water Board.
The decision was taken after representatives of Peetham brought to the attention of the chief minister the ongoing construction activities on the land and concerns about its reallocation to the board. Following this, the CM held a review meeting with senior officials at the Secretariat on Saturday evening.
During the meeting, Mr. Revanth Reddy sought detailed information about the current status of the various constructions being carried out by the Peetham on the Kokapet property. He expressed serious displeasure at the fact that the officials did not inform him about the status of ongoing constructions at the time of land redistribution to the Water Authority.
He concluded the decay as unacceptable and ordered that the Water Board’s allotment be immediately canceled and the land continued in favor of Sharada Peetham.
He also advised the representatives of the Peetham to meet Minister Sridhar Babu and brief him in detail about the works and other related aspects to ensure smooth resolution of the issue.
