Feb 27 (Reuters) – The European Union and India have agreed to grant each other most-favoured-nation status for five years, starting from the date the agreement enters into force, a draft trade deal showed on Friday that will take effect. (February 27, 2026).

The free trade agreement, finalized after years of negotiations that reopened in 2022, removes or reduces tariffs on 96.6% of EU exports to India by value and 99.5% of India’s exports to the EU by trade value.
