A 56-year-old woman was killed after a moving car went out of control and hit her and her husband while they were standing outside their house in Kandamkunnu near Koothuparamba on Friday morning (February 27).
The deceased was identified as Premi. Her husband Achyuthan sustained injuries in the accident.
Although the locals rushed the couple to the hospital, Premi could not be saved.
The Koothuparamba police have taken the car involved in the accident into custody. Further investigation is underway.
