The Kumbalanghi grama panchayat’s budget lays heavy emphasis on providing housing to the homeless through the LIFE Mission project with an allocation of ₹1.30 crore, while giving priority to social security.
The budget presented by Vice President Margaret Lawrence announced the ‘Clean Kumbalanghi-Green Kumbalanghi’ project in collaboration with Kochi Corporation and Clean Kerala.
The Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme is expected to receive ₹2.10 crore. The budget projects a total revenue of ₹46.22 crore.
Panchayat President Shaji Kuruppassery presided over the session.
