The state government has issued orders sanctioning four installments of Dearness Allowance (DA) for Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) employees and Dearness Relief (DR) for KSEB pensioners.
The DA and DR are for the period from January 1, 2024 to July 1, 2025. The government has approved the recommendation of KSEB chairman and managing director in this regard, Electricity Minister K. Krishnankutty said on Friday.
DA and DR were increased from 33% to 37% with effect from January 1, 2024; from 37% to 40% effective July 1, 2024; from 40% to 42% effective January 1, 2025; and from 42% to 44% effective July 1, 2025.
The payment of DA and DR at increased rates will come into force from February 2026. The payment of arrears will be decided subsequently on the basis of improvement in the management of KSEB, according to the order of the finance department.
