The Bomb Detection and Disposal Unit conducted a massive security check at Kozhikode Medical College following an alleged bomb threat on Thursday.
Police sources said the threat was delivered in the form of an email to the principal of the medical college. It was the second such incident in two months. The last communication that was found to be fraudulent was sent from the same email address that was used for the first incident.
Police sources said both the incidents, including several other similar incidents reported from other parts of the state, were under investigation by the special unit.
