Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has assured to extend all possible support to Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) Super Specialty Hospital to aid its efforts to help poor patients in backward regions.
At the 33rd anniversary celebrations of SVIMS held at the Mahati Auditorium here on Thursday, TTD Joint Executive Director (Health and Education) A. Sharath recalled that TTD currently provides an annual grant of ₹ 130 crore to SVIMS.
He also mentioned that the temple trust would go the extra mile if the hospital, with its state-of-the-art infrastructure and highly skilled workforce, made a concerted effort to reach out to poor patients.
Mr. Sharath elaborated on the need to make preventive and medical services available to people in rural areas, apart from utilizing ‘NTR Vaidya Seva’ to treat economically disadvantaged patients.
He later released the Annual Report 2025 along with TTD Board Member G. Bhanuprakash Reddy, SVIMS Board Member N. Sadasiva Rao, TUDA Chairman C. Divakar Reddy and SVIMS Director and Vice-Chancellor Dr. by RV Kumar, while the event was also addressed by Dr. Subhashini Yaturi, a professor of medicine from the US.
