Students of MLR Institute of Technology (MLRIT) bagged the second prize in overall performance in the SAE Drone Development Challenge (DDC) 2025-26 organized by KCG College of Technology, Chennai.
Comprised of third-year mechanical engineering students, the Meghdooth team demonstrated outstanding capabilities in design, manufacturing, flight performance, efficiency and overall technical excellence. The performance earned them the second prize along with a cash prize of ₹45,000.
MLRIT Secretary and Malkajgiri MLA Marri Rajashekar Reddy said the institution has consistently remained ahead in showcasing student talent at national level competitions. Principal V. Radhika Devi and Professor M. Venkateshwar Reddy, Chairman, SAE Hyderabad Division felicitated the students. The students were mentored by Dr. By P. Pramod Kumar and Sai Kumar.
