IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu on Tuesday said the Telangana government will soon roll out the Ease of Doing Business 2.0 policy as part of its strategy to position the state as a preferred global investment destination.
The policy would be developed through stakeholder consultation to accelerate industrial growth, boost investor confidence and provide greater certainty to investors, the minister said at the GrowthX 2026 summit organized by the Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI).
Emphasizing that growth must be planned, he said the government has prepared the Telangana Vision 2047 to lead to long-term economic expansion. The state, currently a $200 billion economy, aims to grow to $1 trillion by 2034 and $3 trillion by 2047. To achieve these goals and ensure balanced regional development, the government has adopted a three-tier strategy of CURE, PURE and RARE, whereby every region, from urban centers to rural areas, will be put on a growth path.
With technologies such as artificial intelligence and Industry 5.0 reshaping work culture and business models, future competitiveness would depend on strong ecosystems rather than individual companies. The State Government is trying to act not only as a regulatory authority granting approval but as a partner working with the industry, said Mr. Sridhar Babu.
FTCCI President R. Ravi Kumar said that while the industry appreciates the government’s efforts to improve EoDB, the cost of doing business continues to rise and needs attention.
BJP State President N. Ramchander Rao, AIG Hospitals Chairman D. Nageshwar Reddy and Skyroot Aerospace Co-Founder and CEO Pavan Kumar Chandana spoke.
