
Several parts of Delhi will experience significant disruption of water supply from Wednesday (February 25) to Friday (February 27) due to ongoing interconnection work, the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) said in a statement on X.
The authority said that supply to many parts of the city will be affected for 48 hours due to connection work on the newly laid twin 1500 mm diameter raw water pipelines connected to the existing main line of the Dwarka Water Treatment Plant (WTP).
Officials further said that the shutdown will begin on February 25, 2026 at 11:00 AM and continue till February 27, 2026 at 11:00 AM.
The Delhi Jal Board has urged residents to store sufficient water in advance to avoid any inconvenience during the maintenance period.

Meanwhile, Rekha Gupta, Delhi’s chief minister, celebrated one year in office on Friday and presented an overview of the state government’s initiatives in healthcare, infrastructure, social security and administrative reforms, outlining measures taken in the previous 12 months.
Speaking at a public event in the capital, the chief minister said the government had prioritized results-based management and streamlining the administration, describing the approach as aimed at reducing procedural delays and strengthening service delivery.
