Dr Dilip Bhanushali, former president of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) representing 400,000 doctors, said, “The zero percentile criteria of NEET-PG does not equate to a drop in standards of medical education. Zero percentile does not mean that we will compromise on that. Zero percentile because ultimately, MBBS, people pass on merit, after they get through there easily, it is not like the first filter. candidates are still required to go through subsequent rigorous exams to they’ve proven their ability, which means the initial percentile threshold doesn’t make a big difference in the long run.”
