Senior IPS officer N. Balasubrahmanyam took charge as the vice-chairman and managing director of APSRTC in Vijayawada on Friday.
Senior IPS officer N. Balasubrahmanyam on Friday formally assumed charge as the Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC).
KS Executive Director (Administration) Brahmananda Reddy and others greeted him at RTC House. Interacting with them, Mr. Balaaubrahmanyam insisted that passenger safety, punctuality, cleanliness and service improvement will be the top priority. He emphasized the need to strengthen public transport and improve the quality of services provided to passengers.
He also emphasized the need to introduce eco-friendly electric buses to improve operational efficiency and ensure financial stability of APSRTC. Mr. Balasubrahmanyam appealed to the officials and employees to work with dedication and discipline and ensure teamwork to strengthen APSRTC and provide better services to the public.
APSRTC Executive Directors A. Appala Raju (Operations) and GV Ravi Varma (Engineering), Chief Personnel Manager VV Sreedhar, senior officers, supervisors and representatives of various associations were present.
