A science fair organized at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Sri Venkateswara Vidyalaya campus here on Thursday (February 19) saw over 150 student exhibits covering various topics from physics, chemistry, biodiversity and scientific inventions.

The exhibition was organized to commemorate the discovery of the Raman effect by eminent scientist Sir CV Raman on February 28, 1928. The country celebrates the day as National Science Day.

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Tirupati Kendra Director N. Satyanarayana Raju, who viewed the exhibits and interacted with the students, praised their scientific nature.

He recalled the constant focus of Bhavans on scientific and technological advancement besides maintaining spiritual and cultural values.

Principal D. Padmaja lauded the science department for conducting the event. Earlier, faculty members led by Mr. Raju paid floral tributes to the portrait of Sir CV Raman.
