Two youths from Pathanamthitta were killed in a bike accident in Nedumbassery

Two people were killed after the motorcycle they were riding rammed into a car and a tanker waiting at a traffic light at Athani near Nedumbassera on Sunday (June 28).

The deceased have been identified as Adithya Prasad, 24, and KS Kabil, 24, both natives of Karimpanakuzhy in Pathanamthitta district.

According to the police, the couple was traveling from Aluva to Angamaly when the accident took place around 6.30 am at Athani junction. The motorcycle reportedly went out of control, first hitting a car waiting at a traffic light and then hitting a tanker parked next to it.

Though the injured were taken to a private hospital in Angamaly, they were declared brought dead.

The Nedumbassery police have registered a case in connection with the incident. The bodies were handed over to the relatives after post-mortem, police said.
