The agenda for the Peace Council meeting centers on the restructuring of Gaza, the Palestinian territory decimated by Israel since the October 7 attacks by Hamas. Donald Trump delivered a keynote speech in which he announced that up to nine countries had pledged $7 billion in aid to Gaza. The Peace Council meets at the Donald J. Trump US Institute of Peace in Washington.

Who will attend the peace council meeting today?

The Peace Council meeting is attended by Italy, Greece, South Korea and the European Union. Apart from them, Albania, Argentina, Armenia, Belarus, Bahrain and Egypt are among those who have sent representatives to attend the Peace Council meeting in Washington DC today.

The meeting will also be attended by Hungary, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Mongolia, Pakistan, Paraguay, Uzbekistan and Vietnam.

Who didn’t join the board?

India is among the countries that have not accepted Donald Trump’s offer to join the Peace Council. Brazil, Mexico and South Africa, Britain, France, Germany, Norway and Sweden did not accept the offer to join.

Brazil and Mexico said they would not join the initiative, citing the absence of Palestinians on the board.
