Founder’s Day celebrated at TAW College for Women

TAW College for Women organized a three-day Founder’s Day celebration at its Ambur campus in Tirupattur.

According to a press release, the celebration was organized to commemorate the late T. Abdul Wahid’s visionary leadership, humanitarian service and remarkable contributions to education and industrial development in the region.

Minister for Handlooms and Textiles and Ranipet MLA R. Gandhi was the chief guest. Vellore MP DM Kathir Anand was the guest of honour. A biography of the founder of the college, Mohammad Sufyan Qasimi Sahib, Chancellor of Darul Uloom Waqf, was released on the occasion. The first copy of the book was received by Rafeeque Ahmed, Chairman, Farida Group of Companies.

The event also witnessed a student exhibition titled ‘Discover Great Women Intellectuals of All Time’, showcasing the contributions of leading women scholars and reformers throughout history, the report said.
