The state government has approved allotment of 601.40 acres of land to Adani Infra (India) Limited, a notified partner of Raiden Infotech India Pvt. Ltd. (subsidiary of Google), for setting up an AI hyperscale data center at three locations in Visakhapatnam and Anakapalli districts against the previous allotment of 480 acres under GO MS No. 2 issued by N. Yuvaraj, Secretary (FAC), Information Technology, Electronics and Communications (ITE&C) Department.

The GO stated that lands were allotted at Tarluvada (266.60 acres), Adavivaram & Mudasarlova (160 acres) and Rambilli (174.80 acres) in modification of the earlier GO, and the Chief Secretary will chair the Executive Management Committee in place of the ITE&C Department Secretary.

Initially, the government approved allotment of 480 acres (160 acres at Rambilli, 120 acres at Adavivaram and Mudasarlova and 200 acres at Tarluvada) at a 25% discount and approved tailor-made incentives for setting up a data center of about 1,002 W8 capacity with nearly 500 M‹ crore.

Subsequently Raiden Infotech India Pvt. Ltd. sent a request for a revised land requirement (322 acres in Tarluvada, 160 acres in Mudasarlova and 174.80 acres in Rambilli) and wanted all three allotments to be made to Adani Infra (India) Limited (AIIL), subject to survey and transfer of land ownership to APIIC.

Through a letter last month, AIIL submitted DPR for three sites (Tarluvada – 266.60 acres, Adavivaram & Mudasarlova – 160 acres and Rambilli – 174.80 acres out of a total area of 601.4 acres).

The ITE&C department presented all developments to the Council of Ministers, including the request for additional land and the review of incentives and deemed distribution licenses and other concessions. Accordingly, the above consent was granted.
