Traffic diversions announced for work on the elevated corridor from Saidabad to Yadagiri Theatre
Traffic diversions and road closures have been announced by the Hyderabad Traffic Police in connection with the construction of a comprehensive elevated corridor between Nalgonda X Roads and Owaisi Junction. The diversions will remain in effect until July 1 as part of the initial phase of the project.
As part of the work, one lane will remain closed between Saidabad Y Junction and Yadagiri Theater due to construction. Motorists have also been advised to avoid the stretch between Nalgonda X and Owaisi Hospital (DMRL Junction) roads as heavy traffic jams are expected on nearby roads and junctions.
Traffic from Nalgonda X Roads towards Santosh Nagar and IS Sadan will be diverted from Saidabad Y Junction via DCP South East Zone Office, Saidabad Police Station, Saraswathi Nagar Kaman, Sankeswar Bazaar, Singareni Colony, Onus Robotic Hospital and Champapet before reaching DMRL Roundabout. This deviation will apply to four-wheelers, RTC buses and heavy goods vehicles.
Two-wheelers and three-wheelers traveling from Chanchalguda towards IS Sadan will be diverted at Saidabad Y Junction via Saidabad Police Station, Bus Stand 105, Ramalayam Kaman, Laxmi Nagar and Dobhighat before joining IS Sadan Main Road.
Two-wheelers and three-wheelers traveling from Chanchalguda towards Champapet will be diverted via Saidabad Police Station, Ramalayam Kaman, Laxmi Nagar, Vinay Nagar and Bharath Garden before reaching Champapet Main Road and DMRL Roundabout.
RTC buses and heavy vehicles traveling from Chaderghat towards IS Sadan and Champapet will be diverted to Nalgonda X Roads via Malakpet Gunj, Moosarambagh X Roads, Gaddiannaram, Shiva Ganga Theatre, Hanifiya Mosque at Saroornagar Lake, Singareni Colony and Onus Hospital before reaching Champapet Main Road.
The traffic police appealed to the commuters to plan their journeys in advance, use alternate routes and monitor the traffic information issued through the official social media platforms of the Hyderabad Traffic Police.
