‘Native American’ woman mentioned in Epstein’s files – was she Jeffery’s victim? | Today’s news

Newly released documents from the US Department of Justice (DoJ) related to the case of sex offender Jeffery Epstein indicate that US officials sought to track down a woman believed to be in India to provide compensation and therapy under victim assistance programs.

According to documentthe woman, who is believed to be based in India, has been identified by US authorities as eligible for support under the victim assistance and compensation programs.

The email also referred to paperwork sent to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and mentioned coverage of therapy sessions under victim assistance programs for eligible individuals.

What does the email say?

Document numbered “EFTA00038425” mentioned “New York City Crime Victim Compensation Bequest”. It says, “Please have them fill out the application and send it to me. I will send directly with the FBI documents.”

Part of the document also read: “Finally — she currently lives in India. Is there anything we can do to help her? Would she still qualify for the 6 free sessions there? Are there any resources that can be offered in India?”

The email sender’s name has been redacted.

The records were part of a wide-ranging release of documents released by the US Department of Justice on January 30.

The Epstein files

Politicians, diplomats, business leaders and members of the royal family have seen their reputations tarnished, investigations launched and jobs lost after more than 3 million pages of Epstein-related documents released by the US Justice Department revealed their ties to the US financier and convicted sex offender.

Apart from the former Prince Andrew, none of them face charges of sexual misconduct. They were ousted for maintaining friendly relations with Epstein after he became a convicted sex offender.

The latest tranche of files was released by the US Department of Justice on January 30.

The files also contained internal communications between US officials, personal emails exchanged between Epstein and his associates, and correspondence relating to business, travel and political references related to India.

Epstein died behind bars in 2019.
